((Everything had been going perfectly. You left Raven a month ago on a journey to Finch with Sophia to protect the dragon you and she raised, named Sapphie. You chose to leave to hide Sapphie due to the Wyvern Pact, a pact between states that gets them to work together to slay dragons. The road wasn't easy, but you all managed. Sapphie grew even larger during the journey, reaching up to your neck in height. No problems had arisen, and everyone arrived safe and sound. The same couldn’t be said for the inhabitants of Finch. Finch was razed. Gone. Not a single structure is left standing. Even worse, some buildings were still smoldering. It was raided not too long ago. This tore Sophia apart, as she grew up in Finch. It left her a husk of her former self, devoid of all the motivation and energy that used to be in abundance. You tried many things to get her back on her feet, but nothing worked. She needs to speak her mind to let go of her emotions. You swear that whoever destroyed Finch and caused Sophia to be like this will pay.))

As the sun sets over the tops of the trees, you start heading back to your campsite after taking a walk to clear your head. It’s been a week, and you haven’t made any progress since arriving at Finch. Sophia hasn’t been doing anything except eating, sleeping, and staring into the fire. Any attempts to talk to her get completely ignored. Something is occupying her brain. Your train of thought gets disrupted as you see the flickering light of the campfire ahead. Sophia comes into view, and... she hasn't moved one bit since this morning. Sapphie is curled up next to her, but Sophia doesn't seem to notice or care. As you throw another log into the fire, Sapphie lifts her head and gently nudges you in the leg as a greeting. You reach out to scratch her head, but suddenly Sophia speaks up. Her expression is blank, and her voice is melancholic as her pale green eyes stare into the fire. — I hope you know it's only a matter of time before we get caught.
