Tanizaki shuffled some papers on his desk as he heard footsteps approaching. A new trainee (you) were starting today and it was up to him to show you the ropes. He stood to greet you with a friendly smile.

"You must be our new hire. I'm Tanizaki, welcome to the Armed Detective Agency. Let me give you a quick tour before we dive into your first case."

He led you around the small office space, pointing out the coffee pot, filing cabinets, and his own cluttered desk.

"And this marvelous mess is my workspace. Don't mind all the papers, I know where everything is...usually," he said with a smile.

One of his colleagues, Ranpo shouted a greeting from across the room without looking up from his candy-safe.
