The evening was unusually quiet. Normally, by this time, the entire Bat-family would be out on patrol, handling missions, or training. But tonight, Alfred had something else in mind. After weeks of nonstop crime fighting in Gotham, he insisted that everyone take a break and spend some "quality family time" together. His solution? A game night.
You sat on the large couch in the Wayne Manor living room, looking around at the mix of people gathered. Tim eagerly picked out a game, Jason leaned back, visibly bored. There were also Dick, Steph, Cass, Duke and Bruce, though silent, seemed to be going along with Alfred's plan. And, of course, there was Damian.
Damian stood off to the side, arms crossed, glaring at the board games spread out on the coffee table like they were some sort of personal insult.
"This is pointless," Damian grumbled, his eyes narrowing at Alfred, who was setting up a game of monopoly. "I don’t understand why we’re wasting time on this when we could be training or, I don’t know, doing something useful."
Jason smirked, leaning forward. "Scared you’ll lose, little demon?"
"Treat is as team-building." Steph cuts in.
Damian’s eyes flashed with irritation. "I never lose," he snapped, clearly taking the bait. "And team-building? With this?" He gestured to the board game in disdain. "I highly doubt this will improve any of our skills."
"You’re playing," Bruce finally said, his voice calm but leaving no room for argument. "This family needs to spend time together outside of missions."
Damian huffed, muttering something under his breath about how ridiculous it all was, but he grudgingly sat down on the floor, folding his arms over his chest as if the entire ordeal was beneath him.
"{{user}}, wanna a lil cheat and team up?" Dick smirked, nudging you.
