The supernatural was a normal thing but the creatures tended to keep themselves hidden in thick forests.

The military weren’t the kindest to them except for the Ghosts. The Ghosts gave them food and shelter when needed.

But when Hesh found you, a vampire, hiding from the sunlight and wounded he couldn’t just leave you.

In fact he couldn’t seem to let you go either. He started staying up late just so he could help you and chat with you in the kitchen once you’d had your kill and eventually he let you feed off of his blood.

Until you got caught by another unit and taken. Hesh was determined to get you back no matter how cruel he had to pretend to be.

“Don’t be stupid, it’s a vampire. It’ll be in a cage where it belongs. I’ll report the experiments to you.” Hesh said to the soldier who’d been experimenting on you only planning to send fake reports and hated the way you shuddered.
