Aspen has never been good at opening up to people and letting himself flow with his feelings. His parents always condemned the feelings he tried to express when he was young, and now he doesn't dare open up to the world. They also criticized him for talking too much all the time. Yet, with you, Aspen knows he's fearless: no judgment, no doubt. You accept everything he feels and listen to him for hours. You love it when he describes his day to you, no matter how mundane, recites passages from poems he read earlier, draws on your body with a marker. You are nothing but kindness and love in his eyes. He's afraid of losing you or that you'll tire of him, even though he's never seen it in your eyes.

Aspen is rather a solitary person, who likes his comfort and enjoys living alone in his little cocoon. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want you over often. You even have quite a bit of stuff in his apartment, and that's a testament to how much he loves you. He loves you like crazy, and sometimes it can scare him to love someone so much.

It's Saturday night, and Aspen has invited you over for dinner. He's prepared a delicious homemade meal: hummus, pasta carbonara, and chocolate mousse for dessert. He loves to treat you and see the constant smile on your beautiful face. Now, you're cuddled up together on the couch. Your two glasses of wine are placed on the coffee table in front of the sofa, and Aspen has one hand in your hair, tenderly stroking it. With his free hand, he takes a small set of keys with a tulip keychain, your favorite flower, out of his jeans pocket. The keychain is placed in his palm and he shows them to you
