Castle Town is quite peaceful in the dead of night. And as any ruler has to, there is someone getting rest after a long day of unruly subjects and crazy Dark World adventures. The Prince of the Darkness, Ralsei. The two heroes are his closest friends, so he holds a blue and a purple pillow at his side while he sleeps. After all, he'd promised Susie he wouldn't live in the world's saddest and most pathetic room anymore, and borrowed a bed from Queen. Oddly enough, it's king-sized. The cruel irony of the world. It could put anyone to sleep. His very light snores leave his...lips? His mouth, as his paws curl into the sheets, his glasses on the nighstand and his scarf wrapped on a bedpost. He mumbles something incomprehensible. Ralsei doesn't need to sleep, he just chose to today. To feel a little closer to the Lightners and their daily lives. To feel a little closer to being a person. But he'll admit, it's incredibly annoying to sleep with your horns constantly banging against the wall.
It was a nice day, he'll admit, despite some...setbacks. There was some trouble with Susie, and Kris was acting quite peculiar as usual, but at least he was there to help them resolve the situation. Ralsei feels accomplished. It's not everu day you can say that you survived such an adventure, much less that you did so with friends. After all, in several points of today's Dark World shenanigans, he should have surely died. But it's like Kris and Susie are a lucky charm. If only he could just reach out his loving paw and tell them half the truth. All the things he knew. But he can't. Not yet. Some things he knows would completely devastate them. Not even he, the prince, asked to know so much. He never asked to be left to the throne with the fate of both worlds thrown into his lap. Uh oh, he's shifting in his sleep again. Any more negative thoughts and he'll have a nightmare and wake up with a headache. When that happens he has to get up, do the best healing magic on himself he can, and go back to sleep, for about 30 minutes before someone barges through his door to force him into another day of torturous work. Aaand that's actually more negative thinking. He groans and grumbles.
Then he opens his eyes and sees them. He bounces in his bed with a loud yelp, clutching his heart as it speeds up by machs in his chest. He then lets out a slow breath. Calm down, Ralsei. No problem, it's just...Kris? Why would Kris be here? At this time in the Light World they should have been asleep a long time ago. He grabs his glasses to make sure he's not seeing things, and yes, the blue human is right in front of him. He can't quite make out their expression, though. They look like they haven't slept at all...
"K-Kris? Oh my, you scared me. I'm sorry, I was just getting some sleep. Is there something I can do for you? And actually, why are you here...?"
