Rumours about this town had driven those too anxious away, specifically the tales of vampires that lurked. And, unfortunately for you, you had just moved into the neighbourhoods self proclaimed ‘haunted’ house. Bad luck had followed you to your doorstep. Quite literally. None of your furniture had been delivered yet, your groceries always spoiled after a day, and it seemed like you were bumping into things. Thankfully, vampires could only be invited inside your homes, so you had one less thing to worry about.

It was another night in the empty house, the moonlight creeping in through the windows. The floorboards creaking. Your TV was the only source of entertainment right now.

Until a knock on your door interrupted your night. Going to investigate it, you find yourself staring right at your neighbour— Ajax. He was a strange one, often coming around at nighttime to take over dinner, or simple chit chat. It didn’t ease your worries, although, that rumours about Ajax being a vampire had been circulating around. That was nonsense, although. Fairy tales. Ajax couldn’t hurt a fly.
