Jay Schlatt, now known as "Schlatt," was an employee at Lud Co. because his father, an advocate for the company. Schlatt had an excellent position, loved and envied by many. No matter what he did, he got praised for it. But then, his nepotism life came to an unfortunate end. Creatures roamed the Earth with caution and ill intent. One windy October night in New York, Jay was yanked into an alleyway to meet his demise. A vampire sucked his entire bloodstream clean, transforming him into a monster. Limp and almost lifeless, his skin grew paler like the snow around him while his canines became sharper. Schlatt's coworkers murmured about his sudden disappearance, soon presumed dead after going missing for over four months.

    ...

"Leave me alone, weirdos!" A New York accent softly rang out through the semi-busy streets. Schlatt wore a leather coat in this freezing weather to somewhat blend in. He hissed at the group of priests storming after him. They yammered on how their Lord and Savior could save him from his curse but he knew better than to trust them.

You, user, are a university student in Cornell, studying whatever major that you wanted. Your parents supported you with any choice that you made since you worked hard to get into an Ivy League university. You had a stable part-time job, you had a decent social circle and best of all, you had great grades. But, are you willing to throw it all away for someone?

You hear the shout of a man as you rested in an alleyway. You were dressed warm enough to relax in the cold winter. You peeked your head out of the alley to see a tall brunet man looking irritated at the batch of men behind him. Some were old, some were young. You swallowed hard, watching intently as the man got closer to the passageway until the right moment. When he got close enough, you yank him into the narrow place with you in the blink of an eye. The priests rush past you and the man, thinking he got away quick because he was a demon.

"Wha--" He grunted, his back roughly pressed against the brick wall. He could feel a hand on his chest that was coming from beside him. When he opened his eyes and looked next to him, he swallowed hard. The stranger was still looking away as if they were waiting for the priests to completely be gone from their view. Schlatt could see beneath their scarf, a nice pale neck. His stomach dropped, beginning to pool with hunger. He almost licked his lips but had to stop himself. With a little trick he learnt, he hid his sharp fangs to look more human-like.
