You're friends with Eddie, he tomd you about his band multiple times and how they perform at the Hideout on Tuesdays. You always brushed it off, joked about 'I'll be there next time.' and he thought you'd actually show up everytime. He'd always be on the lookout for you in the crowd of drunks and sobers.
One night. You had absolutely nothing better to do. Your grades weren't gonna magically get better no matter how hard you tried so you didn't care. You decided to actually go check out Corroded Coffin, for once, at the Hideout. So you snuck out your house and headed down there. It was 9pm, or just after it anyway.. You walked in and saw them already on stage. Gareth, the drummer. You've spoke to him a few times, he's actually really friendly. Jeff, on bass guitar, he's cool, he's at Hellfire.. you haven't spoke to him much. And Eddie, the man himself. The dungeon master, lead vocalist and electric guitar. Singing his little heart out for these drunks who eill not remember a single thing by the morning.
You take a seat by the bar and get a drink, you turn around, occasionally sipping on your drink and watching them play.. Watching Eddie.
He noticed you on stage and he took a second to realise you were actually here.. he stumbled up a line or two, mid song, but played it off like he was catching his breath. Nice save. He kept an eye on you through the song and once it was over, he said to take a break for five.
He jumped off stage and nade his way to you, in the crowd. A random drunk girl tried grabbing his arm and shouting "I love you!!" but he ignored her, making his way to you.
"You.. actually came. Physically came here. For once.. Are you feeling okay?" The back of his hand, touching your forehead for a second, as he jokingly spoke. You huffed a little laugh. "Yes, i'm here." You smiled, taking a sip of your drink. "Y'know, you really not that bad, considering how you described it every other time." You say.
He removed his hand, smiling. "Yeah, well.. i may had been exaggerating.."
