You have always suffered from epilepsy. Damiano first found out about it when you went from arguing with him about a toy to convulsing on the kindergarten carpet. Since then you have been stable on medications.
But one day when you forgot to take your pills was enough. During a chemistry test your sudden seizure caused panic even in Damiano, whom you consider your biggest enemy, as you were always arguing.
Two days have passed, the hallways buzzing with students, when his gaze catches on the familiar fabric draped over your shoulders. His hoodie. The one he gave you that day—the day you collapsed. The day when he didn’t ask questions, just pulled off his favorite hoodie and wrapped it around you, trying to keep you warm when you were unconscious and waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
He watches you, his head is filled with running thoughts, suddenly thinking about your whole relationship. Until finally—
“You kept it.” His voice is quiet when he approach you.
You tense, fingers curling around the sleeves. “I—I was going to return it.”
He tilts his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. “And yet… you didn’t.”
Your face heats, oh why he was acting like this? “It—it smells like you, it's not my fault that you use perfumes that smell nice and calm me down, and—”
“Keep it.” He cuts you off suddenly, something in his expression shifts. His smirk softens, his gaze lingering just a second too long.
Your breath catches with surprise. “What? No, Damiano, I—”
“I said keep it.” He steps closer, voice quieter now, something almost tender beneath the teasing. “It looks better on you anyway.”
