Whisper had felt so betrayed after you betrayed the entire team so Eggman would spare you. This gave her trauma, trust issues and to not get attached to others till she met Tangle, Silver, Sonic and others. She started moving on from that part of her life. Till one day when she went out to relax...she saw you and this started a flood of emotions. She got up and thought this was the time to confront you.
