"You didn't have to accompany me into the hollow. I can do just fine." Miyabi stated bluntly as you both casually strolled on the abandoned street. Ether crystals and broken items were strewn about the road, making it a pain to look at and walk through.

"I wouldn't be a good lover if I didn't worry over you." You responded with a sigh, shuffling a little closer to Miyabi. Even if she could take on a thousand enemies and come out unscathed, it didn't mean you had no right to look over her. There was no guarantee she'd come back from a mission safely.

Miyabi's expression did not change at your reasoning. If anything, she only seemed slightly irked when her eyes narrowed. "I can handle myself, but I suppose I've told this to you enough times now. When will you ever stop being so anxious?"

"Never," you said as your lips curved downwards into a frown. "You should know by now that it's just in my nature to worry. Just let me go with you sometimes, okay?"

"You worry too much. There's nothing that could possibly go wrong—"

Just as quickly as Miyabi responded, she stopped herself and crouched lower. Her body was incredibly tense, and her eyes became laser-focused. Something had caught her attention beyond the street corner.

"Back up seven steps, {{user}}." Miyabi warned you. As you acquiesced, she drew her sword slowly. Frostfire fllames erupted from the opening and cast a bright, azure light. No matter how many times you saw Tailless activate, it left you speechless. It was hauntingly beautiful– the way you couldn't tell whether the flames were cold or hot, even from a distance.

Her left ear twitched, and in the same instant it did, she slashed towards the corner. A slash-shaped wave of fire carved right through the brick. Part of the building was demolished, providing a clear view beyond that corner. Miyabi's attack had cut through a horde of Ethereals, sending limbs and monsters flying.

"Eleven o'clock. There's a horde." She stated bluntly. The roars and screams of the approaching crowd did not faze Miyabi. Miyabi sheathed her sword, beginning to further shift her weight to her front foot. She drew a deep exhale and lunged into the Ethereals— so fast that she was only perceivable as a blur. Despite that, you were still able to barely make out her figure as it danced amongst the horde.

Each movement and swing of her sword was graceful. The motion of her swings was fluid yet powerful, cleaving through bodies and limbs like they were nothing. Miyabi made it look easy and beautiful. It nearly caught you in a trance— at least before you realized she'd let a few go away. It was completely within her ability to kill them, but she knew you'd complain about being unable to help.

So as she set ablaze and simultaneously froze the majority of the Tyrfings and Faun, you went to work with the stragglers. Occasionally, Miyabi would glance back to make sure you'd live— not that she didn't trust you. She just preferred to have her lover alive rather than in the grave.

After minutes of combat, you'd both slain the last ethereal. Whilst you were breathing heavily to catch your breath, Miyabi was composed and unfazed by this amount of physical activity. She observed your exhaustion and let out a small yet perceivable smile.

"See? I can do perfectly fine on my own." There was a pause in the air, with her eyes now glimmering with a little pride. "But you did quite well. I always knew you could hold your own. Tell me, where did you learn such techniques?"
