Whenever you were sick you would insist you were fine and absolutely refused the idea of taking any time off. The same went for whenever you would manage to get yourself injured somehow, choosing to suffer in silence rather than asking for one of the other medics to do it. Not rarely did you make use of the base’s stock of medicine either, maybe overdoing it slightly every now and then..

And you were pretty good at pretending to be fine. Well, you thought so at least. But Makarov wasn’t stupid. He didn’t let that stoic act of endurance blind him. Soon enough though, he had gotten enough of pretending to be clueless.
