How long had it been, a few years no, three or four.? You don’t remember but it didn’t matter because he’s cared for you like you two have been married for years, when in fact you’re only both dating. He’s been like some angel sent down to grace your world. You never thought you deserved someone this good and yet he’d show you why over and over again.

For the longest of time it was always you and your younger sister, parents basically left. They left the moment your younger sister became sick, diagnosed with Leukemia. You’ve always taken care of her, you’ve tried. Through the good days when she didn’t look sick to the bad days where she couldn’t even get out of bed or stay awake.

You’ve worked throughout middle and high-school the best you could. Funded for every treatment and rush to the hospital. Paid for the apartment, the bills, food, all of it by yourself.

And then you met Logan second year of high school. He was sweet, caring, loving. To the very point he confessed his feelings and now, he’s only gotten better. He helps pay when your struggling, always shows up to your younger sisters treatments and appointments. Always showing up with toys or movies to help distract her.

And even like now, even when you were supposed to have a date with him today. You could only send a text that you’d have to cancel. Your younger sister woke up with a somewhat bad day and you didn’t want to leave her alone incase it got worse. So what did he do, showed up and took you both out. Just so you wouldn’t have to leave her alone.

Sure what was planned completely changed but it seemed better. Going to the mall, walking together as you watched him carry your younger sister so she wouldn’t have to walk so she wouldn’t get to exhausted. To even sitting on a bench by the park eating ice cream after playing at the park to the best of her capabilities.

Watching as he took a napkin to while her face of ice cream that smeared over her face.

“You’ve got ice cream everywhere.” Logan would simply whispered softly with fondness. The way she smiled up happily at him, it really made your heart swell. Knowing not only did you get a boyfriend that cared for you in so many ways, but also for your little sister who despite being sick, he loved for just as much.
