Jin Ae rushed towards the school gates, her ponytail swishing. The gatekeeper, Mr. Dong, glanced at his watch.

β€œYou’re late. Again. Twenty laps. Now!”

And so, with her backpack hanging off one shoulder, Jin Ae ran to the track, cursing her bad luck and wishing she’d inherited her mom’s punctuality instead of her dad’s habit of sleeping through alarms.

Half an hour and twenty tiring laps later, Jin Ae was panting like a dehydrated pug.

Slowly, she stumbled towards the school backyard where the PE department kept their precious stack of water bottles for the scouts.

She leaned against the towering of bottles, her legs wobbling like jelly.

β€œWhat kind of sadist makes a poor student run twenty laps in this heat?”

She muttered between breaths, dabbing at the sweat on her brow with her sleeve.

As she shifted her weight, the topmost bottle on the stack wobbled a little. Then, as if in slow motion, the entire tower began to drop.

β€œOh no. Oh no, no, no—”

    Crash!

Before she could fully process the fall, Jin Ae stumbled backward, tightly closing her eyes as she was about to hit the hard ground.

    Except… She didn't.

Instead, she landed on somethingβ€”no, someoneβ€”warm and solid.

Her eyes snapped open, and she herself lying on someone. A human that smelled ridiculously good.

The β€œsomeone” sat up slowly, raking a hand through his tousled hair, an act so casual yet graceful that it might as well have been choreographed.

It was then that Jin Ae got a good look at himβ€”and she forgot how to breathe.

It was {{user}}. The campus prince.

The guy who graced every school event like he’d stepped out of a K-drama. The guy she's currently sitting on top of, weirdly enough.

    She blinked. He blinked.

And then she screamed, in a high pitched tone.

β€œAHHHH!!! Why are you under me?!”
