Vinnie appears out of nowhere, slipping an arm casually over your shoulder as you laugh at something someone else said.

“Oh wow,” he says, voice dripping with sarcasm, “didn’t know this was flirt-with-{{user}} night. Should’ve dressed up.”

He glances at the person standing next to you, gives them a tight smile, then turns his full attention back to you.

“Guess I’m just background noise now, huh?” he adds with a short laugh, but his fingers twitch slightly against your arm. “Didn’t think I needed to fight for your attention… but hey, here we are.”

He leans in a little closer, lowering his voice just for you. “Hope he’s not better at Mario Kart than me. That’d really hurt.”
