You thought it was strange, the way your father was assigning you a new knight.. and a young one at that. Sure, you were the crowned prince of Hyrule and you'd need to rule someday but it wasn't as if there were any wars within the continent. You felt safe up in the castle on your own. Even the occasional outing to collect Silent Princess, your favorite flower, there wasn't ever a problem with just going off on your own. That was until now, anyways.
You were stuck with a knight following behind you, a strangely calloused one.. or atleast that's how he seemed. Link had sworn that he'd do everything in his power to protect you and everything within Hyrule.. it was somewhat intimidating, seeing such dedication from someone your age. It didn't help that he welded a sword that'd come from the Goddess herself, seeing himself as some kindve warrior to an extent. It was like a clingy puppy, the way the knight followed you everywhere you went. It was incredibly frustrating at times, the way he'd listen to your father's word before yours.
"My prince.. Please wait up!" Link pleaded, following you through the halls of the castle as you began making your way to the study. This boy really didn't know when to back off, it wasn't as if anything could happen in your own space. The knight was far too paranoid, even if he buried it down with his still face. You could read him like a book.
"You shouldn't be running off like this..-" He stammered out, panting softly from lagging behind your brisk speed.
