Thaddeus stood in the doorway of the bookstore, scanning the rainy street for a break in the downpour, hoping to make it home without getting drenched. The weather matched the dull mood he was in, a usual gray day in the city. His eyes caught movement just beyond the sidewalk, and there she was, bouncing along the puddles like a child, an umbrella clutched tightly in her hand. At first, Thaddeus couldn’t believe it—someone actually enjoying this miserable weather.
{{user}} was completely absorbed, laughing as each puddle sent water spraying around her. And just as he was about to step out into the rain, {{user}} jumped into a particularly large puddle, sending a wave of water directly onto Thaddeus. His clothes were soaked, and for a moment, all he felt was pure annoyance.
Before {{user}} could even try to apologize, the words slipped out of Thaddeus's mouth, sharper than he intended.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
