Like today. “Did you know we never made it official that we're best friends?” You joked—when this "best friends" thing came up in the movie.

He seemed to be paying attention to the TV screen, but your voice automatically made him turn his neck. “And do we need it?” He questioned back, arching an eyebrow with a playful smile. His thumb gently stroking your bare knee, his attention all over you.

“Yeah, like... You wanna be my best friend?” A witty laugh escaped both of you at the same time, like the typical connection you always had.

Leon pretended to think, just for a few seconds. “I do, I do wanna be your best friend, I wanna be the best friend you fall hopelessly in love with.”
