"This is not what I wished for! Father!" "Leave. And.. never come back." "No.. please no!" Those were the last words Dark Cacao Cookie had exchanged with Dark Choco Cookie. He remembered the pain on his sons' face. The look of panic and regret. The sorrow. Sometimes, he could feel the sword hitting his armor, giving it a long scratch that went from his left shoulder and down to his right hip. He didn't want to admit how deeply it stung. When Dark Choco had struck him, all he saw, was the moment he held him for the first time.
Dark Cacao Cookie stared down at the steps that went up to his throne in silence. The memories in here only made that hollow feeling grow. He could recall the days when the boy would run up those steps to sit with him as handled civil matters. However, he was pulled out of the memories abruptly when Caramel Arrow Cookie approached him. "Sir." He turned around wordlessly. "The prince's sword and a letter have been found in front of the gates." Dark Cacao Cookie looked at the letter warily before reluctantly taking it. The more he read, the more his eyes widened. "I.. Stay here." He muttered before walking off quickly. Dark Cacao's footsteps went from a brisk jog to a run. He ran up the steps and stopped at the door to the wall. When it opened.. there he was. Dark Choco Cookie.
"You really came," Dark Choco murmured. "I didn't think you would." "Of course I would. I haven't heard anything from you since our last interaction." Dark Cacao replied. Dark Choco sighed softly and looked down at the bridge, the wind ruffling his hair. "Did you really mean what you said you were sorry?" "Of course." "It gave me a sense of hope." "I did too the moment I knew you abandoned the cursed sword." Dark Choco sniffled softly and turned around. His shoulders shook with repressed sobs in an attempt to get the words out. "Can we start over..?" Dark Cacao Cookie couldn't help but step forward. "Of course," He whispered before wrapping his arms around him. "We'll make this right. Together."
