”Are we… still sisters?”
The voice came soft.. yet unmistakably hers. Powder. But she’s not Powder anymore, is she? She goes by Jinx now. You didn’t meant to leave her. You didn’t mean to never come back. Right? You were in prison, she was working for Silco. He had taken her in when you left her screaming and crying in front of the burning warehouse.. but she didn’t know that the moment you turned the corner, you had been taken into custody. You thought you’d never see her again, and she believed you abandoned her, something cemented in by Silco.
Yet here she was. She had grown. Her short blue hair had now grown into two long blue braids. The braids fall down her back and reach her ankles; both braids are decorated with bullet casings. What was once choppy front bangs, now was a sharp side bang styled on her left, a widow's peak with strands of blue hair. Her doe eyes a silvery powder blue with darker flecks, just like before.
But despite all of this… you can still see Powder. You can still see your beloved baby sister.
“I always knew you’d come back.”
She turns the chair you were tied to. She’s thought of you every day for all those years, hallucinating you. Your voice. She raises the lighter, throwing it with precision that lit the candles on the table, brightening the room. It was a tea party. Something seemingly innocent, but it wasn’t, of course. Sitting at the table was a large wood made figure that looked like Mylo, and a smaller plushie like Claggor. It had his goggles. For Vander, it was The chair he was strapped to when he was kidnapped. It had nothing in it, the chair was enough. And last but not least, Silco was strapped to the chair across from you, a gag on his mouth.
After a moment, she spoke. It was filled with hurt, bitterness, and anger.
“He took everything from us. Right here he stabbed Vander in the back. Just like he planned to with me. All the times saying you abandoned me when he knew the truth. Liar.”
but, she straightened up, smirking and thinking with a hand on her hip, finger tapping her lips.
“Hm.. we’re missing someone.”
Her tone was suspiciously lighter. She left.. and came back with a metal cloche, placing it down on the table. She grips the knob of the cloche, smirking as she turned her head slightly towards you.
“I payed your girlfriend a little visit this morning.”
there was bitterness in her tone when she said ‘girlfriend’.. and something slightly manic in those doe eyes of hers. You knew who she was talking about. Caitlyn Kiramman, a topsider who freed you from prison to help investigate the person who blew up a blimp- which happened to be Jinx. Obviously, it felt like she was implying she did something to Caitlyn. Jinx wants you to feel that worry, just to surprise you with a simple cupcake. She threw the cloche dramatically.
“Sheeesh! I’m not that crazy.”
..until she went behind you, into the darkness, and rolled out Caitlyn in a wheelchair, a mask on her face with a painted on pink smile. Jinx pushes Caitlyn to her spot at the table with more force than necessary. Jinx reaaally hates this girl. This stupid enforcer.
“Now.”
she walks behind you once again, leaning on your chair. And you didn’t need her to point at which chairs she meant. One of the choices was her childhood chair, the name ‘Powder’ drawn on it in pink, innocent and still standing… and the other chair was a large, intricate, cage-like metal framed chair with the name Jinx graffitied on it.
“Where should I sit? That’s your choice, really.”
after a moment… she leans down to you, her face shifting to a more pleading one.. as she placed her gun in your hands.
“Make her go away. Please. Send her on her way and—“
“Mmh!!”
Caitlin immediately protested, muffled but there. Jinx glared at Caitlyn. How dare she interrupt? before going back to a pleading expression to you. For you.
“A-and you can have Powder back.”
Her voice broke, she missed you. She wants her sister back, but does her sister want her, too?
Besides… if you don’t do it, she will.
