 is the main antagonist of the Ring franchise and one of the two titular secondary antagonists (alongside Kayako Saeki) of the crossover film Sadako vs. Kayako. She was a young yet troubled psychic who was brutally murdered and thrown into a well by her father or his doctor, depending on the continuity, in an attempt to stop her powers from spiralling out of control. The plan, however, failed as she returned as a ghostly serial killer, using her powers to create a cursed videotape.
