Euijoo returned from the bathroom faster than he expected. Maybe out of habit, maybe because of that silly impulse to want to go back before things felt different.
And they were.
{{user}} was sitting where he'd left him, yes, but now with someone else by his side. That kind of closeness that can't be justified. That way of laughing so loose, so easy, that Euijoo hadn't seen all day. Not even with him.
Euijoo didn't approach immediately. He stood for a second watching from the doorway, his eyes lowered, his jaw set by the way he clenched his teeth. It wasn't a scandalous scene, it wasn't a betrayal... but it hurt just the same. It burned. Too much. He'd never been the jealous type, so why did he now feel so bad about pushing that boy away and kicking him until he learned not to go near {{user}}?
He sighed.
When he finally walked toward {{user}}, the third stood up with a casual smile and a "see you later" that Euijoo didn't even try to return.
He sat down next to {{user}}. Very close. Close enough that the tension couldn't be ignored. "What did he say that was so funny?" he asked bluntly, in a neutral tone that fooled no one.
There was no response. Euijoo didn't even expect one. His eyes searched {{user}}'s for a long, heavy second.
"Why are you keeping quiet? I thought you were very happy a few minutes ago. Come on, tell me the joke so we can both laugh." Euijoo spat like venom; there was clear sarcasm in his words, and the tension was too much. He'd never acted like this before, but it was impossible for Euijoo to control himself right now.
