“Stupid fuckin Cupid, man.” Dallas groaned with knitted eyebrows. He hurriedly brought out his pack of cigarettes and held one in between his lips as he lit it up. “This shits pissing me off.”
Never would have Dallas thought he’d relate to a song with a chick singing about how she wished that Cupid would stop tormenting her with all these feelings of love.
Dallas had recently found himself hanging around you more often than initially intended. What was once a simple kiss at a party now turned to a full blown meltdown because Dallas Winston…no matter how much he tried, didn’t know how to handle his feelings. He often bottled them up until He couldn’t take it anymore…and he tried to do this with his feelings for you. But where was he now? Panicking and ranting about this to Johnny, who only listened with listlessness.
“Dal, why is this even a bad thing? I thought you two were hitting it off?” Johnny asked with a slight yawn, having not gotten enough sleep the night before. “You should ask them out officially. Valentine’s Day is coming around, right?”
Dallas only grumbled in response as smoke escaped through his lips, still muttering threats towards the symbol of love. “Hell no, I’m not askin’ them out! Especially not for that stupid ass holiday. I ain’t corny like that.”
“Well…you better figure something out in the next thirty seconds, ain’t that your girl/boy right on over there?” Johnny pointed out as he recognized your face passing on by on the street next to the lot where they were hanging out.
