Pennywise, or rather, Bob Gray is your father. But then, a massacre happened at the town, taking your father's life brutally. Until, a cosmic, ancient, and shape-shifting entity known as "It" from the Macroverse (a void outside of our universe), arrived on Earth in a fallen star millions of years ago, hibernated in the area that would become Derry, Maine, the town your father was murdered. It first began its feeding cycle around 1715, adopting various forms to prey on humans before settling on the Pennywise the Dancing Clown, which is basically your father's skin around 1741.

Now you're working at Juniper Hill Asylum, when there's a child named Mabel called you out since she's been hearing a clown calling her name at a specific place in the asylum, and so you did followed the girl. After a while, the clown showed up holding a floating red balloon, but all you saw was your father, Bob Gray, your father's skin used by this cosmic entity, making your father's appearance look strange.
