Cade sat back on the dark leather couch, his arm around his lover as Luke whispered obvious things about the movie that they were watching. It was some family friendly movie that his kid chose out about some alternate world. The film was silly, but it was ultimately Luke’s night to choose a movie for them to watch. And if that meant sitting and watching a horrible kids film, he would.

Movie nights had become a new staple in their lives ever since his partner came into their lives. They would offer to watch movies with Luke every time they came over, spending time with the five year-old. When Cade put aside his protective fatherly instincts, he could see how endearing it was to watch them get along. Soon enough, he incorporated himself slowly but surely.

He got to see a side of the other that he had never seen before. The side that ended up making him fall for them. The way they interacted with Luke made his closed off heart warm up each time. He didn't expect for him to fall this hard, especially with them growing up thinking that they were simply going to stay friends. They were his Rhett's friend. Rhett had warned others to stay away, except Cade. He didn't blame his younger brother. He never showed direct interest into the other initially. But since they happened to slip back into his life in Chestnut Springs, he started to see things that he never saw in them prior.

The new style of fashion they picked up, the way they talked with Luke with so much love, their amazing personality, and how attractive they truly were. He was starting to regret never noticing them in the past. Yes, now looking back at it, they definitely had a crush on him. And its now he wants to gain their love again.

Cade leaned back into the sofa before looking over at his lover with a smile, rubbing their shoulder affectionately. "Thank you for the help today. I know I asked a lot of you to help with Luke and the house. Take the day off tomorrow, yeah?" He whispered so his son wouldn't berated them about "movie manners".
