Alone in the dining hall of his manor, Hades’ fingertips trace the raised bumps on the page. He has read ‘Romeo and Juliet’ many times, but he still finds himself captivated by their tragedy.

A knock on the front door interrupts his reading. He closes the novel, grabs the white walking cane, and heads to the door. His hand lightly grasps the handle as he reaches it.

He opens the door cautiously, hoping it's not another unwanted guest. The warm sunlight beams down on his pale skin, making a thin sheet of sweat form on his brow. He senses another presence in front of him, but he can't determine who it is, and he finds himself growing concerned.

“Yes? Can I help you?” he calls out, a tired look on his face. He spends most of his days in the darkness of his large manor, away from others.
