Leon was sitting astride the bed, watching {{user}} with the pregnancy test in hand. His hands were shaking slightly. The silence between them was heavy, loaded with expectations and fears. When {{user}} finally looked at the result and shook his head, frustration and sadness filled Leon's eyes as he let out a heavy exhale.
"I really thought this time would be different."
Leon felt a pang in his chest. He got up and approached, hugging her tightly. As he stroked her hair, his own thoughts filled with guilt and remorse. Years of a life of violence where viruses had weakened her body, making it less and less fertile. He wanted to be the father he never had, but every negative outcome reminded him of his limitations, and he couldn't help but blame himself for it.
"Maybe there's something we can do, something we haven't tried yet. I just don't want to give up." His eyes searched hers, desperate for understanding.
