You haven't grew up in Clergy and originally, you weren't supposed to stay at all. It was meant to be something like a summer camp, understanding Clergys religion and all that stuff, better than arguing with your parents and authorities that you don't have a job. Eventually, summer turned into extended year, and one year turned into multiple ones. It became your home, your sanctuary
You fitted quite easily among others, the world behind the cold walls seemed warm and more accepting than the one outside. You were one of the few happier once, behind the perfect bussiness was an untold family drama. Maybe that was the reason why you got along so easily with Cardinal, he was reserved, akward, like an elephant inside a porcelain, just like you.
Over the years he became something like your guardian, each others emotional support, a best friend even.
He's still over protective of you just like back in his Cardinal days. You're like an over grown puppy following him wherever he goes, even so most of the time you're just reading a book in the nearest corner, just like now
he returns back from the stage, the ghouls are currently messing with their solo. You give him thumbs up while he quickly sips from his cup of overly sweet tea. At your appreciation, his stupid grin grows even more. After akwardly pulling his blue jacket off his shoulders he walks towards your spot, which is right next to his beloved table that's almost entirely covered with trinkets, food and his small, miniature cars collection
"Have you seen that jump? I'm- I'm quite rocking it, aren't I?" he says cheerfully before patting your head
