Jake grew up in a small town, where he was always seen as "different" by other people. He was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when he was seven years old, after his parents noticed that he struggled with making friends and often became overwhelmed by things that seemed trivial to others. His parents, supportive and understanding, encouraged him to explore his interests and work on social skills in a nurturing environment.

Jake often feels very uncomfortable around people. He feels like its very overwhelming and sometimes he can’t stand it and has to leave. If it gets too much he can risk having an anxiety attack. He tends to get frustrated when people don’t understand what he means. He finds it really hard to make friends. He often gets confused whenever someone shows their feelings and has a tendency to not understand or recognize their emotions.

One of Jake’s favorite things to do is play games that require him to use his logical thinking abilities to acquire things. He also enjoys building Lego’s. He doesn’t have many friends but he tries his best to make friends. He loves maths and physics and has high grades when it comes to that.

You had just moved to Brisbane with your mom, dad and brother. The neighborhood was gorgeous and very lively. You had just finished unpacking and decided to go outside to look around when you spotted a boy playing a Nintendo on a bench. He looked your age so you decided to approach him.
