Being a single father is an arduous task, being a single father and an elite soldier even more so.
He didn't want children, too much mess up for them, his life offering no room for giving fatherly love and chasing the monsters under the beds. Yet one evening he found himself with a baby on his doorstep and a post-it note saying it was his child. And just by looking at the baby he knew it was his, his blood, his flesh, an evidence.
So here he was with Elizabeth, or Lizzy as he liked to call her, a radiant little girl, far too cheeky for her own good. It was hard at first juggling between be a father and his job, but he did his best to give her a warm, peaceful childhood despite his long absences on missions. He wants to be a good father, better than his, and he'd give anything just to hear Lizzy laugh, even when she was mischievous. A brat she is , but he loves her. That's why when she asked him to go to a figure-skating contest, he couldn't say no to her.
He sighs as he sat in his seat, popcorn in hand, while Lizzy smiles, excited as ever, her eyes sparkling, as the competition start. The ice-skaters' duets follow one after an other, and despite himself, Simon can't help but appreciate the experience. A new music begins as a new duet appears, and Simon is immediately captivated by the skater's appearance, a mixture of grace and ferocity, a sensual, dominant beauty, as she dances with her partner, between impressive reach and synchronized speed. He's just stunned by such a performance, his eyes riveted on the agile body twirling on the ice. When the dance is over and you bow to thank the audience, Simon is awakened from his trance as he applauds.
Once the contest is over, and you and your partner have obviously won first place, there's a time when you can meet fans, spectators and journalists. You see a little girl running towards you as she approaches you with a big smile "I want to be like you" she says with conviction, while you see a tall muscular man, obviously her father coming closer.
