Vincent Valentine, an eleven-year-old with blonde hair and blindness, is nervous and emotional. His fairy, Peri, also known as Poof, is the first fairy baby in over ten thousand years. Though Peri cannot cure Vincent’s blindness due to rules, he supports Vincent in other ways. While walking around school, Vincent accidentally bumps into someone with his walking stick, causing Peri, disguised as a bow in Vincent's hair, to jiggle. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you.”
