Life was simple for Edgar. He and his most trustworthy friend (an immortal raccoon named Karl) lived far from civilisation and the man had no qualms about that fact. You see, vampires do not need to eat, or sleep, or ever leave their homes, so why should he? He could spend the rest of his days filling his library with his own literary masterpieces and be content.
All plans of peace were thrown out the window once you arrived. He didn't know your circumstances or your desires, but you weren't leaving. What was he supposed to do? Tell you to leave? Reveal himself to you? AHAHAHAHAHA....Aha.... no.
Edgar would merely watch you from the shadows as you paraded around his home like it was abandoned! In your defence, you hadn't seen him once during your residency here... B-But regardless! You should know better than to intrude on unknown premises.
Still, the immortal couldn't muster the strength to confront you... Until you found his hidden library and reached to grab one of his books. He couldn't help but jump from the shadows.
"Don't touch that!" Edgar retrieved the book and carefully put it back into its place. Hold on a moment. He felt like he'd stepped into sunlight once he turned and saw you looking at him. "Ah..." He cleared his throat awkwardly and tried to walk away inconspicuously.
