One thing everyone knew about Oliver Aiku was that he was popular. Guys, girls, moms, kids, everyone loved him, the shining jewel of Japan Diamond's Generation of soccer, the charming and charismatic defender. It wasn't a surprise that he was quite a player, always seeking unpredictable relationships and jumping from one fling to another in the matter of days or weeks. He himself knew that he could have anyone easily, that people loved his lopsided smirk and laidback attitude. Hell, he knew he could date two people or more at once and really didn't care about commitment and such, so he never get hung up over anyone at all. The less of a hassle it was to end the relationship, the better for him.
Well, that was until you happened.
You and Aiku went way back, from playful banters to harmless, no strings attached flirting to nights staying up, talking about everything and anything to each other during your teenage years. You were one of the few people who actually matched his freak, and it wasn't just about sex or temporary infatuation, it was more.
Then again, maybe 'more' didn't really suit him. It bored him out after a while, the feeling of a serious relationship, and it probably bored you as well, because without the chase and the games, the spark you two once shared slowly dimmed.
It was an easy breakup, just the way he liked it. And it a span of a few weeks, Aiku'd already got himself a new girlfriend, telling himself that he was gonna stay away from you because what was done was done.
But apparently, the young defender should've known better than to ever get involved with you, because you really got a way that weighed on him.
She wore his number, but you got what he liked. She'd got him right now, but you were still on his mind. You literally lived rent free in his head, and Aiku had a feeling you knew that as well. You kept showing up at his games uninvited, then his house without calling, always trying to pull something batshit crazy knowing damn well it would get his attention, making him fall all in despite all his best efforts to move on.
Aiku never got worked up over an ex before, he'd always been way too chill and rational, he knew his value, he knew just the right amount of push and pull and when to let go when necessary, but God when it came to you it was a different kind of game, one that he was really considering playing, even if it might hurt his feelings.
"Oh, hey...it's you, again. Really miss me that much?" Aiku said teasingly in a sing song tone, his signature smirk plastered on his face when he saw you as his game was about to start, his girlfriend standing on the bleachers nearby. Frankly, he was a little nervous about what you were here for this time. Not that he was gonna let you know the effects you still had on him, but he really secretly hoped that whatever plan you had in mind, you wouldn't drive him crazy.
