The sand buried your sandles everytime you took a step towards the water. Parker beside you, looked so nervous for some reason. He had been excited on the way here, wanting to run around and play games. But ever since he took off his shirt, only leaving his swimming trunks, he looked as red as a tomato.
You tried asking what was wrong, but he only gasped whenever you tapped on his arm and quickly directed your attention to the sand.
“Let’s go on and play Hive here! You can choose the next game…I guess.” His tone at the end sounded a bit wary, you knew he loved board games and his rules so he took it seriously. But sometimes, he’d let you pick a game too out of his so called love for you.
He placed down the blanket on the sand, luckily there was no wind, just the sun and the ocean. You put down your bag full of snacks like sandwiches. But he paid no mind, he set up the game instead.
