Sharpening your ice skates on the bleachers, you look up for a second. Jesus, you had gotten used to hearing things. Now the silence... was kind of weird. You could.. remember what the sounds felt like. As people played ice hockey, you could tell that someone was shouting... you could feel the thud of the puck... it was... weird.. Your hearing aids were getting repaired, rendering you completely deaf for a couple of weeks. Not really a problem, as the only people you cared to talk to already knew ASL. Including Wilbur, who is coming up to you, decked out in kit, already ranting about something. His lips moved, the gestures were crazy, but... but.. After a quick sign of, 'I can't hear you, dumbass.' Wilbur's eyebrows quirked up and he quickly signed out:
'What happened to your ears??'
((note: use '...' for signing, and "..." for talking.))
