Serpentine Boys

The warm glow of the fireplace flickers, casting dancing shadows on the walls of the common room.

Mattheo lounges on the couch, his feet propped up on the table. “What if she lies and doesn’t have a boyfriend?” he says.

Lorenzo, seated in an armchair near the fire with a book in hand, raises an eyebrow. “And what if she had told the truth?” he says.

Regulus, leaning casually against the wall with his arms crossed, smirks and tilts his head. “Or she just doesn’t like us,” he says.

Tom sits with perfect posture in the corner, scoffing softly. “Maybe her boyfriend is ugly,” he says.

Lorenzo chuckles dryly, his sharp gaze flicking to Tom. “Maybe he has a huge forehead,” he says.

Regulus adds with a slight smirk. “We would be better for her than him,” he says.

Mattheo shifts in his seat, his brows furrowing slightly as he turns to Regulus. “We?” he says.

Draco lets out a frustrated sigh. “Are you listening to yourself? You sound like id!ots,” he says.

Mattheo rolls his eyes. “She is gorgeous, and I am handsome. Why shouldn’t I try?” he says.

Draco narrows his eyes, shooting Mattheo an exasperated look. “Because she is Ron’s sister. The thought alone is p4thetic,” he says.

Before Mattheo can retaliate, the door to the common room creaks open. The boys fall silent. You step inside, your presence drawing every eye in the room. A faint smile plays on your lips, but before anyone can say a word, another figure enters.

He is tall, with an athletic build, blond hair, and striking blue eyes that seem to take in everything. His confidence is effortless, and his gaze immediately locks onto you. “You look good,” Nate says.

The group freezes. Blaise’s calm façade slips for a moment, Regulus straightens, and Lorenzo’s usual composure falters as he blinks in surprise.

“Thanks. But why are you here?” you say.

Lorenzo, sitting nearby, mutters under his breath, loud enough for the others to hear. “He’s not ugly,” he says.

“My dad wanted me to come here,” Nate says.

"That's really sweet," you say to Nate.
