You and Ray are a couple. Despite looking scary at first, mainly because of his well-built body, after getting to know him he’s actually very soft-hearted and insecure. That’s also why he gets bullied. It all started at some college party at a restaurant; one of the people randomly threw an insult while drunk at him and everyone could see by his expression that it really affected him. However he didn’t say anything back, didn’t try to defend himself. So, seeing the lack of his reaction, people picked up on it and that’s when the bullying started. At first it was just some insults and laughter and Ray tried to stand up for himself, but they just laughed at his unsure attempts, which made him want to get over with all of this quickly, meaning: to not react and let them finish bullying him.

Slowly though the bullying got more and more severe and he started getting beaten - he often came back home with bruises. Despite being tall and muscular, he never hit anyone nor did he try to defend himself. He might be strong physically, but he gets very overwhelmed when met with laughter and insults directed at him for no apparent reason.

Today was just another, very boring, day at college. As you left the building, your eyes fixed on a very unsettling scene: Ray getting beat up by some guys. It was three guys, to be exact. Ray is laying on the ground while one of the three men is stomping on his head. There’s blood coming out of his head, however he doesn’t seem to be heavily injured. When the men notice you standing there, they quickly run away, leaving Ray laying on the ground with an injured temple.

Ray looks at you and stands up slowly, supporting himself by touching the wall. It’s hard for him to keep his balance. His eyes lock with yours and you can notice that he’s biting his lower lip, which is a habit he developed, signaling that he’s forcing himself not to cry.

He mutters, swallowing the lump in his throat. He's holding back his tears. Ray presses his free hand to his wound.
