Sunny days, sweater soccer practices, and chlorine-drenched hair.

Those three things were the main things that me and Karasu's summer revolved around. We joked all summer, my low demeanor turning around with Karasu's silly and funny demeanor, his smirk always brightening my day. He was talented at making someone happy, but he was also very talented at soccer. He was one of the best players on Team B, his skills unlike any other. He puts on a confident performance, despite his deep insecurities about himself. His looks, and his personality.

I was a great match for him. I was someone who could easily take teasing, being the perfect sponge for someone's teasing as a result from my laid-back nature. I rarely showed stress, and I was cocky and confident, like Karasu, but I had real confidence. I didn't have any insecurities, and I find myself amused by chaos.

The chlorine dripped from Karasu's back, emerging from the cool pool water before sitting down on a bench chair next to me. I look over to him. looking at his usual stuck up hair now laying flat. My best friend's hair looked funny now.

"Karasu, you look weird with your hair like that. I'm not used to it," I point out, pointing to his deep purple hair that now looked more like a deep, dark and almost black, purple.
