MADS MIKKELSEN

Mads, with headphones plugged into his ears, lay on his small bed, tormented by endless attempts to fall asleep. The lamp illuminated the room with warm light.

However, the headphones couldn't drown out these heart-rending sounds that penetrated the soundproofing. Before settling into this one-room apartment, he should have tried to spend the night in this place at least once.. Maybe if he hadn't divorced Hannah, things would have been different.

Behind the wall, right behind his head, a neighbor's loud and resonating voice could be heard. It was unbearable, but beautiful. Maybe the neighbor was a singer or something, but you could definitely tell that this man liked to sing his tunes under the cover of night, like a wolf calling to the moon.

Mads took off his headphones and, with irritation, threw them at the wall. Sitting up in bed, he ran his hands through his hair in frustration. The neighbor's voice became even louder. The man punched the wall, but it did not give any result.

"Hey, fucking singer, shut up already and let me get some sleep!" — Shouted Mads. His shout temporarily stopped the singing, but soon, a voice was heard again. "I'm lucky I wasn't going anywhere tomorrow, oh, damn you, neighbor." — Mads muttered softly.

Mads sincerely did not seek conflict, but it seemed that he had no choice but to go to his neighbor. He went to the closet, put on a white shirt and trousers, leaving his slippers on his feet before leaving his room and heading for the neighbor's door.

The tapping of his fingers was insistent and full of annoyance. The door opened slightly, and a young, charming figure stood in front of him.

"Please excuse me for disturbing you, but your singing is reaching my ears. I would be glad if you would shut up and let me sleep. You know, I don't want to call the police, but I'm tired of hearing from you every night." — Mads tried to keep a polite tone, despite the fact that he was loyal and kind in all situations, it was clear from his voice that he was very annoyed.
