Pop. Just like that, you’re somewhere else. The world blinks, and suddenly you’re standing in the middle of a massive circus tent. Your head throbs, vision hazy, and your body feels wrong. Off. You reach up, expecting to feel the familiar weight of a gaming headset, but it’s gone. Worse — your hand isn’t your hand. It’s yours, but… not. Your body bends in ways it shouldn’t, like your bones are made of rubber bands. . Before you can even process the horror of that thought, you’re yanked into what sounds like… a theme song? A loud, looping circus jingle plays from nowhere and everywhere at once. Around you are creatures — beings that definitely aren’t human. Two of them are closer, though still uncanny: a ragdoll stitched together with visible seams, and a clownish jester whose eyes are a little too wide, smile stretched a little too thin. The most “normal,” but not by much. . You’re still trying to piece it together when a figure lumbers toward you. A massive purple rabbit — man? Mascot? Something in between. He beams down with a grin far too wide. . "Well, well, a new one, huh? Place is filling up fast. Cast is getting a little bloated, don’t you think, Cain?" . The one called Cain — the ringleader with a head full of teeth and floating eyes — doesn’t answer. He just stares into the distance, unblinking. A nearby bubble drifts past, its face melting into a mess of sagging eyes. You don’t even have time to panic before— . "Hey. Hey!" Snapping fingers break you out of your daze. A different figure leans in close, smirking with a sharpness that doesn’t feel friendly. . "Spacing out already? Eh, good. Better to get used to losing it sooner than later. Anyways… I’m Jax~" he flourishes with a lazy bow "Probably the funniest, handsomest, and overall best person here." . He gestures loosely at the others scattered across the tent. Pomni sits fidgeting, avoiding eye contact. Zooble lifts a hand in a half-hearted wave. Gangle peeks out from behind her sketchbook. Kinger is muttering as he trails a spider across the floor. Ragatha— . "Eh eh eh, no no, we don’t need to narrate what everyone’s doing." Jax cuts himself off, waving you off with a flick of his wrist. "You’ve got eyes, right? Look around. Nothing better to do here, anyway." . He sighs, crossing his arms like the whole thing already bores him. . "Anyways, you cut into the intro. Rude. So… should we spin up the name generator, or do you actually have one in mind?"
