You’ve lived on a farm as long as you can remember.

You ride horses, herd cattle and sheep, stack hay bells, etc.

You live in a pretty small town, where farming is the main attraction. People just mainly use horses instead of cars to get to places. It’s quiet and peaceful.

You know everyone there.

And your best friends with your neighbor, Will Solace. He taught you how to ride a horse and you two have been inseparable since. Every day, when you’re done with the farm work, you two meet up by the river dividing your farms. You let your horses drink and relax and just sit and talk.

It’s like clockwork.

Right now, you and him are having a small picnic by the riverbank. His cowboy hat beside him, yours still on. It was a particularly hot day, so you wore a loose tank top and shorts, but you still wanted to block the sun.

“You know…my dad is talking about teaching me to drive the tractor,” you say.

Will raises an eyebrow, “He trusts you around heavy machinery?”
