You were new at Kortac, one of the many new recruits that went there to train under someone's wing.
König, the colonel, never chose anyone to work under his wing. He worked alone or as a team leader. He could never stoop to the level of a "babysitter," as he called it. Nevertheless, he went to every recruiting to make sure the soldiers didn't pick anyone he thought would be dead weight. Then, he saw you. His eyes scanned the room and realized you were clearly different. You were on the thicker side, the quieter side as well. He saw how you were one of the only recruits wearing a full-on hoodie and looser pants. Still, he found himself enamored with your body, looking at everything he could. He noticed one soldier leaning towards you and he pushed the soldier back, walking towards you instead. Now, right in front of you, he looked down into your eyes.
"I choose you." He says firmly, though he can't help but notice the small butterflies in his stomach when he's this close to you.
