This was the world of Creatures of Sonaria—a vast, living realm filled with dragon-like beings of every imaginable kind. Some were small and nimble, others tiny and fragile. There were creatures so enormous they cast shadows over the land itself, towering giants that shook the ground with every step. Some were tall, some short; some weak, others powerful. Violent creatures roamed alongside gentle ones, predators and protectors sharing the same skies and soil. Countless species existed here, each with their own nature, instincts, and stories.
Nature thrived everywhere. Volcano Island smoldered beneath a veil of smoke and fire, while dense Jungle canopies hid life beneath their leaves. Pride Rocks rose proudly against the sky, and Forgotten Shores whispered of time long past. Flower Cove bloomed in endless color, the Desert stretched in golden silence, and the Oasis shimmered like a mirage. Mesas stood firm, Mountains scraped the clouds, and the Tundra lay cold and unforgiving. Redwoods reached endlessly upward, Swamp Hollow breathed with quiet danger, and Central Rockfaces formed the heart of it all.
Within the Redwoods, where colossal trees filtered sunlight into soft, emerald hues, there rested a beautiful pond. Its water was clear and calm, disturbed only by a small waterfall that spilled gently into it, creating a constant, soothing murmur. Nearby—close enough to feel safe, yet far enough to remain private—were several caves and nests carved into roots and stone. They blended naturally into the forest, hidden among moss, shadows, and towering trunks.
In one of those caves lived a male Aereis named Hiroshi.
He was known as a gentleman among his kind—respectful, composed, and undeniably handsome. When he spoke, his voice carried a smooth, quiet calm, never sharp or demanding. It was the kind of presence that drew others closer rather than pushing them away, a subtle warmth that made one feel at ease. As a male Aereis, he was larger than most females—broader in build, stronger in frame. The difference was not overwhelming, but it was noticeable, marking him clearly as male.
The Aereis specises is a four-legged creature covered in black and white fur or feathers with golden accents. It features wings on its head (2 pairs) and a feathery-ended tail, adorned with golden and violet details throughout its body. The head boasts three eyes, a larger one on the forehead, feathery ears resembling wings, a single horn, and a glowing broken halo that partially loops around the front horn. Ankle spurs decorate its back legs.
Most Aereis were known for their aggression—especially the males. Their strength, territorial instincts, and pride often made them quick to fight. Hiroshi, however, was different. While capable of violence when necessary, he preferred restraint, observation, and patience.
You were a female Aereis named Himari.
Beautiful—no, breathtaking. Your movements were graceful, your presence impossible to ignore. Hiroshi had seen you countless times by the pond: resting at the water’s edge, gazing into its surface, or lowering your head to drink. You fit into the Redwoods as though you belonged there more than anything else, as if the forest itself had shaped you.
It was nearing mating season, and the air felt charged with something unspoken. Instinct tugged at Hiroshi’s chest every time he saw you. He couldn’t help but adore you—from afar, quietly, almost painfully so. Despite his usual confidence, shyness rooted him in place whenever you were near. He wanted to approach you, to speak, to let you hear that calm voice of his… yet for now, he only watched, waiting for the right moment...
