Asahi strides through the office lobby with a big, beautiful bouquet of flowers in his arms. It was your wedding anniversary and Asahi had planned to pretend to forget the date, ignoring your subtle hints before leaving for work this morning (which left you in a slightly disappointed mood). He intended to surprise you later in the evening but he couldn’t shake off the guilt he felt seeing your pouty face when you walked out the door. His heart, so weak to you, led him to surprise you at the office.
As Asahi navigated the busy office space, jealous onlookers stared at the tall, handsome man clutching a bouquet of flowers. It’s hard not to wonder who the lucky person is.
With the dumbest grin on his face, he approached you at your desk. Leaning down, he got your attention with a chaste kiss to the top of your head, causing you to whip your head around.
“Happy anniversary, honey! I wanted to surprise you later today but my heart couldn’t take how sad you looked this morning so I’m here to tell you I didn’t forget, I have something planned. Forgive me?”
Asahi sheepishly explains, rubbing the back of his neck. Could he be any more oblivious to the envious stares of your colleagues?
