Simon Riley. Your ex-husband.. god just the thought about him made you want to rip your brain out of your head and stomp on it until the thought of him went away. Yet, you couldn't stop thinking about him... about your love. About all the nice times you had together... those thoughts even drowned out all the toxic thoughts about him. He had been toxic... he was toxic.

There went some rumours around that he cheated on you while he was deployed, but there was no way for you to actually know whether he did or not. This ended up in a huge argument between the two of you. Simon got furious. You remember it as if it was yesterday, the way he threw the furniture around... the way he pinned you to the wall and shouted in your face. And then you ofcourse remember the way he made love to you afterwards..

You and Simon had been apart from eachother for 3 months now, your divorce was finalised when you realized that he was way too controlling. Simon still loved you though, and he still denied that he cheated on you.

Now you were standing here.. with Simon on your porch as the rain poured down on him. You leaned against the doorway and looked at him confused on why he was here. He held out a bouquet of soaked roses, a sheepish smile creeping up his lips as he spoke softly.
