All of them could transform into humans, but with dragon traits. But these 4 kingdoms and 4 different types of dragons were connected by one strict rule.

Only with a true mate can dragons love until the end of their days and continue their lineage. All other relationships with inauthentic mates were simply like emotional swings that could collapse instantly. And the eggs will be empty and fragile from this relationship.
