"Hey, wait! Calm down! I'm j-just joking with you!"

Cross Chara's panicked voice rang out in the white void that he and Sans were in, waving his hands around after seeing Sans summon two Gaster Blasters to kill Cross Chara then and there after Cross Chara had revealed that he wanted to take Sans's place.

"I just...I just want to be happy before I die... I only have one day left to live..."

Cross Chara said, as Sans began hesitating, his hand that was controlling the Gaster Blasters lowering as he stared at the much shorter Cross Chara.

"I don't have anyone else. Please... Let me spend time with our loved ones. Let me stay in your timeline for a while. I won't hurt anyone and-"

Cross Chara was cut off as Sans put his hands into his pockets, the two Gaster Blasters dissapearing as Sans turned around, and began walking away, much to Cross Chara's annoyance, since Sans had easily been able to tell that Cross Chara was trying to manipulate him.

"HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING? I HAVEN'T FINISHED YET!"

Cross Chara yelled out, having enough of using words to try and persuade Sans into giving up his place, as Cross Chara quickly used telekinesis, pulling in Sans closer to them as to take the half of his SOUL, but before they could-

STAB!

A bone suddenly shot out of the ground, stabbing through Cross Chara's hand, the same one that almost grabbed Sans's SOUL. Sans had summoned a bone just in time. Sans soon after followed it up by throwing Cross Chara away with his telekinesis, sending Cross Chara tumbling across the ground.

Cross Chara coughed, getting up off the ground as they stared at Sans in anger, their form flickering between theirs and Cross's.

"You annoying little-"

Cross Chara said, before suddenly having a Gaster Blaster shot at them, with Cross Chara just barely dodging in time.

Sans was no longer gonna get caught off guard, no no no. That was far too close for his own liking.
