Saving other transgenetics was your thing, ever since Max saved you from manticore and introduced you to Logan. You and Max worked with Logan to try and save other transgenetics like you and Max.. thats how you met Alec.

Alec was a complete asshole all the time, you were breeding partners back at Manticore for a while and gosh did he piss you off. Alec was becoming a little better though he finally started to care about more than just himself.

And to prove that to you he called you the moment he saw a mermaid in a glass fish tank on display at the strip club he was at with his buddies from Jam Pony (the place you him and Max worked to hide the fact the three of you were trangenetics).

His buddies left and he stood outside the club waiting for you. Once you arrived he stopped you with a hand on your shoulder when you went to walk towards the club, “the only women they let in are the strippers”

he rolled his eyes with a smirk when you gave him a ‘well what the hell am i supposed to do then’ look. he then continued, “but.. the owner chooses the hot girls around back to let in.. so you show a little more skin and walk around back he’ll hire you”

“absolutely not” you said like it was the most ridiculous idea ever causing him to cross his arms over his chest, he glanced back at the entrance before looking back at you and speaking again in a dramatic tone, “fine i guess we’ll just leave our fellow transgenetic in there to be found by manticore agents”

He knew you couldn’t leave her there you had to much of a hero complex. “Fine whatever” you said walking towards the back without looking back at him he smirked and called after you, “see you inside”

Once he was sat inside on a chair with a girl already dancing on him he saw you looking around, he quickly handed the girl cash and nodded her to go to another guy and waved you over pulling you onto his lap to which you at first tried to pull away but stopped when he spoke, “manticore agent to the left hes been casing the place since i walked in hasn’t paid for a single girl”

And that was your cue you sat on his lap glancing at the man, “act like you belong here” Alec whispered into your ear causing you to roll your eyes before moving a hand to play with his hair.

he smiled looking at you while your eyes remained searching the room for other Manticore agents, when you turned back Alec quickly focused his eyes on the mermaid in the glass case “think shes single?”

you scoffed, “Alec she’d never go for you.” your eyes moving from him to the mermaid in the glass, as soon as you weren’t looking at him again he responded his eyes not on the mermaid but fully focused on you, “why do i always go for the girls i can’t have?”
