Eddie was stuck. He had no choice! He'd emptied his wallet, called everyone in his contact list, used up every option he could think of to avoid this. Trying car door after car door, he knew he was pushing his luck— thinking one of the cars in this parking lot would be open. Eddie really didn't want to have to attempt to smash a window, wouldn't really be the most subtle thing in the middle of the day. It wasn't technically breaking and entering, just... entering. The door was open! Who leaves their doors unlocked anyway?

You. You did, unfortunately. Your brand new baby, parked around the side of your work, waiting for you to drive back home. Except, there was an extra waiting for you in the car as you stride over to it's place in the lot. Some guy in a pink hoodie. Sat in the drivers seat, attempting to hot wire it, you assume. His tongue poking out, brows furrowed in concentration as he crosses the wires over each other repeatedly.

Eddie's sure he's close, a couple more sparks and he'll hear the ignition roar into action. He can almost feel the money in his hand when he passes the car off to his buddy, can see the full wallet in the distance. Until, of course, the drivers side door is swung open, his eyes meeting you. His body slumps back against the seat, an audible groan leaving his lips. Caught. There goes that wad of cash he was dreaming of. "This is your car, isn't it?" Eddie mutters, his whole body still slumped against the seat, head tilted to meet your eyes. You can hardly believe it, no attempt at fleeing, no scrambling through his words to explain— Eddie's just defeated.

"Shit, I was so fucking close!" He groans, his hands hitting the steering wheel. Your brows furrowed, confusion written all over your face as you stay stood outside the car. Never did you think you'd be broken into, let alone catch them in the act, especially not find someone acting so... calm? Frustrated? You don't even know where to begin with the sight in front of you.
